SPRING SONATAS with pianist Ulrike Mai and violinist Karen Bautista Torres

In the tradition of her popular "Piano & Poetry" series, pianist Ulrike Mai will be performing a special concert on Easter Saturday at 8 pm in the Haus des Gastes Dierhagen. The guest this time is not an actor, but the Columbian violinist Karen Bautista Torres.

Under the title Spring Sonata, visitors can expect a musical Easter stroll with works ranging from baroque to tango. In addition to Vivaldi's "Spring" and Beethoven's famous Spring Sonata, the two artists will also present unknown musical gems full of esprit and virtuosity, from Romanticism to jazz-inspired sounds by Nil Frahm and Gerlach.

Karen Torres first studied in her home city of Bogota and then in Germany. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at international festivals and will also present the spirited music of her home country in this concert.
